Privacy Policy
What personal data TALNTD collects, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy describes how TALNTD ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and shares personal data when you use our mobile app, website (talntd.app), and related services.
2. Data we collect
Account information
- Name, email address, phone number, country, city
- Account role (customer, provider, business, employee)
- Profile photo (optional) and business name (for business accounts)
Identity verification (provider and business accounts only)
- Government-issued ID or passport number and image
- Selfie image taken at signup
Service activity
- Bookings, messages, reviews, and ratings you make on the platform
- Service listings, photos, and descriptions you publish (provider/business)
- Location data: your country and city, plus precise GPS coordinates for addresses you save and any location you choose to share in chat (used for booking logistics and to surface nearby providers). We do not track your location continuously in the background.
Device and usage
- Device type, operating system, app version, and crash diagnostics
- Push notification tokens (so we can send you booking updates)
- Basic analytics about how you use the app, used to improve features
Data we do not collect
TALNTD does not process payments, so we do not ask for and do not hold card numbers, CVV codes, bank-account details or IBANs. There is no payment method stored on your account. See Payments.
3. How we use data
- To create and operate your account
- To match customers with providers and businesses
- To operate bookings and in-app messaging. We do not process payments today; see Payments
- To hold provider/business identity records on file for safety and fraud prevention
- To monitor in-app messages for policy violations (see Message monitoring below)
- To translate chat messages and notifications when you and the other party use different languages
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and platform misuse
- To send transactional notifications (booking confirmed, message received, booking updates)
- To respond to support requests and resolve disputes
- To comply with legal obligations
4. Who we share with
We share data only with:
- The other party of a booking: when you book, the provider sees the information needed to deliver the service (name, location, agreed details).
- Service providers we rely on, who process data on our behalf:
- Google Firebase (Google Cloud): hosting, database, authentication, file storage, push notifications, and the SMS one-time codes used for phone verification.
- Google Maps Platform: reverse geocoding and static map images for saved addresses.
- Google Cloud Translation: automatic translation of chat messages and notifications when you and the other party use different languages (the message text is sent to Google to be translated).
- Google and Apple sign-in: if you choose to log in with those services.
- Firebase Crashlytics: crash and error diagnostics.
- Law enforcement: only when required by valid legal process.
There is no payments provider on that list. Because TALNTD does not process payments, no payment processor receives any data about you. If we introduce in-app payments, we will name the provider here and update this policy before it starts.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties for advertising.
5. Message monitoring
To keep the platform safe and to enforce our Terms, in-app chat messages are subject to automated scanning for policy violations, such as scams, harassment, or attempts to evade moderation, and flagged conversations may be reviewed by TALNTD staff. By using in-app chat, you consent to this monitoring. Do not use the chat for anything you would not want reviewed for policy compliance.
6. Identity records (KYC)
Providers and businesses are required to upload a government-issued ID and a selfie at signup. These records are held on file for safety, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution.
- ID images and the extracted ID number are stored encrypted and accessible only to TALNTD support staff for legitimate review.
- The ID number is hashed and used to detect duplicate accounts, helping us keep removed providers off the platform.
- Customers are not required to upload identity documents.
7. Payments
TALNTD does not process payments. You agree a price in the app, and you settle it directly with the other party, outside TALNTD. We do not process, hold, or transmit funds, we take no commission or service fee, and we collect no card or bank-account details of any kind.
Because no money moves through TALNTD, there is no payment data for us to collect, store, share or protect. We hold no card numbers, no tokenised card references, no bank-account numbers and no payout details. No payment processor is involved in your use of the app, and none receives your data.
The prices and estimates you agree in the app are records of what the two of you settled on. They are ordinary booking data, described under Data we collect, and are not evidence that a payment was taken.
We may introduce in-app payments in future. If we do, they would be handled by a regulated third-party payments provider, and this policy would be updated to describe exactly what that provider collects and what we retain. We will publish that update and notify you before any payment feature is switched on, not after.
8. Retention
We keep account and booking data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations. KYC records may be retained longer for fraud-prevention purposes. You can request deletion at any time (see Your rights, and our account deletion page).
9. Your rights
Under UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and similar laws across the GCC, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request deletion of your account and associated personal data
- Withdraw consent for non-essential processing
- Object to processing in specific circumstances
- Lodge a complaint with the relevant data-protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, email support@talntd.app from the address on your TALNTD account.
10. Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, scoped access controls, and audit logging on sensitive operations. No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to make ours as close to that as possible.
